Microsoft provides U.S. military with augmented reality technologies

Microsoft won a us$480 million contract to provide the U.S. military with sophisticated technologies based on augmented reality.

Bloomberg´s website noted that the contract included supplying US military forces with "hoelns" glasses of augmented reality, previously tested by the US Department of Defense for training purposes.

The site also explained that the tender terms of the contract stated that the company that will win the contract, will provide the army with techniques to help American soldiers to better discover the enemy on the battlefield, equipment that supports the night vision and thermal, and measures vital indicators for the army personnel during Tasks.

Microsoft is supposed to provide the U.S. Department of Defense with about 2,500 glasses  "Homaloes" in two years, and this number may rise in the next five years to reach 100 thousand glasses.
