On Sunday, mass demonstrations took place in Morocco and Tunisia, in support of the Palestinian people, and in rejecting the American plan for peace in the Middle East known as the so-called "Deal of the Century".
Thousands of Moroccans demonstrated in the capital Rabat, at the invitation of Moroccan bodies, parties and unions, as they carried Palestinian flags and pictures of Al-Aqsa Mosque. The march, which was organized under the slogan "the march of the Moroccan people, all for the sake of free Palestine, and against the disastrous deal of shame", started from the chapter on "the historical limit" towards the parliament building. The participants denounced, through strong chants, the attempt of the American administration and the Zionist entity to obliterate the remainder of the Palestinian issue. The participants called on the Arab and Islamic countries to stand against this deal, especially as it aims to liquidate the Palestinian cause, raising pictures of Al-Aqsa to express their solidarity with the Palestinian people. In Tunisia, a demonstration came out at the invitation of the local labor union (the working organization), the regional union for industry and commerce, the local union for agriculture and fishing (the farmers ’union), the national union for Tunisian women (independent), the Tunisian League for the Defense of Human Rights (independent), the local branch of lawyers and the National Council of Pharmacists (Union structures), in support of the Palestinian people. Participants in the protest movement raised the flags of Palestine and Tunisia and banners with slogans such as "Shedding the shame deal a national and national duty", "Jerusalem, the capital of Palestine" and "We demand accountability for the travel agencies that have been proven to deal with the Zionists" and "No return for the right of return" . The protesters burned the US and Israeli flags and treaded them with their feet. They called on the Tunisian government to clarify its position on normalization with the Israeli occupation at all levels, while condemning the Arab positions, which they described as "flouting" towards this deal. On January 28, US President Donald Trump announced his peace plan for the Middle East, in the presence of outgoing Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The US plan, which was rejected by the Arabs, the Palestinian Authority, and all factions of the resistance, includes the establishment of a "connected" Palestinian state in the form of an archipelago connected by bridges and tunnels, and to make Jerusalem the undivided capital of Israel.
