Hundreds of left-wing activists and left-wing human rights organizations demonstrated in Israel on Saturday evening, expressing their rejection of Trump´s plan called "Deal of the Century".
According to the "Yediot Aharonot" website, the demonstrators roamed major streets in Tel Aviv, holding up signs written in Hebrew and Arabic, including "There is another way", and "We reject the American plan", "Yes to peace, not to annexation."
Leaders of the left parties, such as Al-Amal, Meretz and Al-Jisr participated in the demonstration.
Tamara Zandberg, a member of the Knesset on the Meretz party, said that Trump´s plan is not a peace plan, but rather an idea of annexation and deportation, and a safe recipe for more violence that might strike the entire region.
She added: Any peace plan is carried out in harmony between the Israeli and Palestinian leaderships, and not imposing it in line with the interests of one party at the expense of another.
She pointed out that the goal of this plan is to rescue those facing accountability in the White House, and those facing criminal prosecution, in reference to both US President Donald Trump, who is being held accountable by Congress, and Benjamin Netanyahu, the Israeli Prime Minister, who faces charges of corruption.
