He noted that "while the world was laying down rules for the protection of humanity, the United Nations Charter, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and the Geneva Conventions, the Palestinian people were deprived of the same rights that these instruments adopted. Our Palestinian people know well how impunity promotes crime and leads to To repeat the crimes, as the absence of accountability has prolonged the suffering of our people to the utmost extent, and deprived the victims of our people of all forms of justice and fairness for more than 70 years, "pointing out that the International Criminal Court provides for the first time a way to redress them.
Mansour added: The State of Palestine was at the forefront of efforts to activate the jurisdiction of the International Criminal Court on the crime of aggression, which is the most dangerous form of unlawful use of force, stressing the importance of supporting the prohibition of the use of force and its interpretation as widely as possible, and that any exception be defined on a small scale As much as possible, otherwise the rule of force will once again replace the rule of law.
He pointed out that the State of Palestine welcomed the huge international front against annexing parts of the occupied Palestinian territory, and for the sake of peace, stressing that we chose law and not war, explaining that peace requires adherence to the law, and that accountability is not only the prerogative of one court, but there are obligations and responsibilities under international law Which all international bodies, countries, entities and individuals must uphold, as accountability is the only reasonable response to crime.
He stressed that "the State of Palestine will continue to work tirelessly to ensure the triumph of global values as stipulated in international standards, not only for the benefit of our people, but for the benefit of all nations, as justice is the only path to peace."
