The US peace plan known as the "deal of the century" could be a "hoax" after it was put off several times, Foreign Minister Riyadh al-Maliki said on Monday.
Al-Maliki explained to the Voice of Palestine official radio that the Palestinian side listened to several appointments by the US administration to put forward the deal and every time it is postponed, which means that there is no "seriousness or there is no readiness and may be all a trick."
Al-Maliki added that the US trick is to prevent countries from engaging in a peace process to solve the Palestinian issue within a multiple framework and assume their responsibilities towards the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
