The Ministry of Interior, Security and National Security in Gaza signed a memorandum of understanding with the “Lovers of Gaza Malaysia” Foundation, on Thursday, to implement a project for the Civil Defense Directorate in the Gaza Strip, worth one million dollars.
The project includes the supply of firefighting, rescue and ambulance equipment, the purchase of four firefighting vehicles and one ambulance, as well as the establishment of a civil defense center in the Juhr al-Dik area in the central Gaza Strip.
The signing of the memorandum of understanding was attended by Major General Nasser Musleh, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior and National Security, Director General of the Internal Security Forces, Major General Mahmoud Abu Watfa, Director General of Civil Defense Major General Zuhair Shaheen, President of the “Lovers of Gaza Malaysia” Foundation Muhammad Qamar al-Zaman, members of the Civil Defense Council, members of Project Committee.
Major General Musleh praised the Malaysian position in support of the Palestinian people, and said that the Civil Defense is in great need of such projects that support it with equipment and firefighting vehicles, and establish centers.
He added that the firefighting and rescue vehicles are the backbone of the work of the Civil Defense, considering that the implementation of the project came at the right time after the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip.
Major General Musleh stressed that the support of the Gaza Lovers Malaysia Malaysia Civil Defense will have a significant impact on improving its capabilities and capabilities, which will improve the service provided to citizens.
In turn, Major General Abu Watfa said, "This is a historic moment in the field of the humanitarian event, because this aid will come in its humanitarian place, thus improving the work of civil defense and enhancing the speed of response to events."
Major General Abu Watfa thanked the Gaza Lovers Foundation Malaysia and the Malaysian people and their government for their proactive role in providing support to our Palestinian people, which contributes to raising efficiency and performance to preserve the lives and capabilities of citizens.
