Avigdor Lieberman, leader of the "Israel Our Home" party, accused Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of working to "destroy the country" for his interests and staying in power.
Lieberman said in an interview with the Yedioth Ahronoth website, on Sunday, that Netanyahu is doing this in order to survive personally and politically, and he does not care about anything else.
Lieberman indicated that Netanyahu views everyone who disagrees with him as an enemy of the people, accusing him of creating an intolerable atmosphere of persecution.
And on the demonstrations that took place yesterday, Lieberman said: I do not want to talk about them because Netanyahu wants us to talk about them, because he wants to keep us from the truth and not talk about unemployment and the bankruptcy of small companies.
Lieberman did not rule out a civil war because of Netanyahu´s actions to evade trial, saying, "He is ready to do everything to stay in office."
