Yisrael Beiteinu leader Avigdor Lieberman on Wednesday accused Benjamin Netanyahu´s Likud of failing to start negotiations on the main lines of government and is not interested in forming a unity government.
Lieberman´s comments came on Twitter in response to previous Likud statements recently that Lieberman will support a minority government led by a blue-white party with external support from the Arab Joint List.
"We have no intention of such or any other option," Lieberman said. He pointed out that the party wants to sit with the Likud and blue-white in order to conduct negotiations on the formation of a government coalition, but before that dismantle the far-right bloc, and then talk about everything.
He stressed that his previous proposal remains firm and on the table, which provides for the formation of a government from his party, the Likud and Blue-White parties only, to be agreed on the main lines and then the possibility of adding other parties later, and that the prime minister alternately first Netanyahu, and secondly Benny Gants.
He pointed out that the head of the negotiating team in his party Oded Fourier called Likud to start negotiations on this matter, but the latter did not respond.
