The Land Research Center of the Arab Studies Association monitored, during the past month of March, the approval of the occupation authorities of colonial expansion plans on (1289 dunams), with the aim of expanding seven colonies established on confiscated citizens´ lands. According to the center, the occupation authorities (the Subcommittee on Settlement) approved granting licenses for three detailed plans, while four other plans were lodged for opposition.

The most prominent of these plans was Plan No. (130/8 (in the settlement of "Ariel" established on the lands of Salfit Governorate), where the occupation authorities granted the license (validity) for confiscation, and the area of ​​this plan reached (443 dunums) for the plan that seizes parts of the natural basin. No. “3” from the lands of the village of Marda, and parts of the natural basin No. “4” from the lands of Salfit, and aims to establish a new colonial neighborhood on the south side of the settlement).

This is followed by the deposit of the planned occupation No. (1/3/426), to expand the settlement of “Betar Ait” established on the lands of the Bethlehem Governorate, where the area of ​​this plan reached (404 dunums), and it seizes parts of the citizens´ lands in the natural basins (2, 3,4) from the lands of Husan town, and the natural basins (4,3) from the lands of the village of Wadi Fukin, and aims to establish a new settlement neighborhood at the northern end of the colony, which will include settlement housing units of category (C), commercial institutions, open areas and a road that will connect this The neighborhood by the nearby (bypass) street.

The occupation authorities also granted the license for detailed plan No. From the lands of the village of Bil´in, Natural Basin No. (2) from the lands of the village of Deir Qudis, and Natural Basin No. (2) from the lands of the village of Kharbatha.

For the expansion of the "Kiryat Arba" colony, which is established on the lands of the Hebron governorate, the occupation authorities granted the authorization for a detailed plan of an area of ​​35 dunums, as well as a plan on an area of ​​(5 dunums) in the settlement of "Maaleh Mikhmas", and another plan on an area of ​​(1 dunum) for the expansion of the colony. Ali Zahav. "

According to the Land Research Center, it is clear from these plans that the rate of settlement has increased in the occupied lands, since the beginning of the current year 2021, especially during the current month of March, compared to last January, when the occupation issued plans on (689 dunums), as the occupation issued during Last February, there were plans on (522 dunums), indicating that the settlement policy is going ahead, despite international calls to stop it and its illegality.
