Today, Wednesday, the occupation forces swept large areas of the town of Deir Ballut, west of Salfit, and uprooted thousands of olive seedlings.
Local sources stated that the occupation forces, accompanied by 6 bulldozers and vehicles, stormed the western region of Deir Ballut, and began to bulldoze hundreds of dunams of water in Khallet Al-Abhar, and uprooted more than 2,500 olive seedlings aged 8-10 years.
The sources added that the occupation forces closed the area and prevented access to it, and the occupation soldiers attacked the owners of the lands who tried to confront the razing operations, including the citizen Aisha Abdullah Musa and Muhammad Hosni Musa, who was transferred to Salfit Hospital.
For its part, the Agricultural Relief Society condemned the occupation forces´ uprooting thousands of olive trees and the attack on the land reclamation projects it implements in the town of Deir Ballut, west of Salfit.
In a statement, the Agricultural Relief said: The occupation forces, accompanied by bulldozers and officers of the so-called Civil Administration, carried out widespread sweeping of agricultural lands west of Deir Ballut, which resulted in uprooting 2,000 olive trees and leveling more than 300 dunums of ten farmers in the town.
The occupation bulldozers also bulldozed agricultural lands that the Agricultural Relief had reclaimed and rehabilitated during the past year, and destroyed a fence and uprooted olive trees for two beneficiaries of the "Extramadura" project, and notified others of the razing at a later time.
The Community Protection Committee in Deir Ballut reported that the occupation forces had transported some of the uprooted olive trees and stole them by trucks and sent them to an unknown destination.
Agricultural Relief called for an end to the racist and sabotage practices of the occupation against the Palestinian people and their land. It also called on international institutions to stand up to their responsibilities in order to deter and stop the occupation from these crimes.
On the other hand, settlers uprooted, today, Wednesday, 150 olive seedlings in the village of Jaloud, south of Nablus.
The official in charge of the settlement file in the northern West Bank, Ghassan Douglas, stated that settlers from the "Ayahya" colonial outpost established on Jalud´s lands uprooted 150 olive seedlings and stole them.
He explained that these seedlings were uprooted from the land of Mahmoud Fawzi Hajj Muhammad, which is located near Jaloud School.
