Minister of Public Works and housing, Mufid al-Hasaineh, said the ministry is continuing to work and harness efforts for the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip, especially after approving a financial grant of approximately two and a half million US dollars from the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic development, to rehabilitate the infrastructure .
"We are constantly striving to reconstruct and rehabilitate what we can, to improve the sector´s reality and return it to what it was before the aggression, and we are continuing our efforts with our partners from Arab countries and others to get financial assistance that meets the needs," he said in a press release on Tuesday.
He thanked the brotherly State of Kuwait for their continued cooperation and support for the Palestinian people.
The work during the donation will focus on rehabilitating a range of damaged roads in all Gaza governorates, in order to restore the bright image of the sector and enhance the resilience of citizens on their land.
