The Israeli Chief of Staff, Aviv Kochavi, instructed, today, Saturday, to reinforce the military forces and take the necessary security measures in preparation for a possible escalation in the Palestinian territories.
According to the Hebrew Risht Kan Channel, this came after a security assessment session conducted by Kochavi with senior Israeli army commanders in the leadership of the West Bank and Gaza regions, the air force and the Navy, representatives of the police and Shin Bet security services.
According to the channel, there are fears that the situation will witness more tension in the coming days.
