JERUSALEM _ Palestine News Network

The Jerusalem Patriarchate on Wednesday rejected the decision of the Israeli occupation authorities to seize several dunums of land belonging to the Al-Patriarchate in the northern Jordan Valley.

The Patriarchate said in a statement, a copy of which came to  "Wafa ":  "The Jerusalem Patriarchate rejects the decision of the Israeli authorities, which received a copy of it on 27 of the current month of November and the judge to put a hand on several dunums of land belonging to the Patriarchate in the northern Jordan Valley."

"This and the Patriarchate is examining the rationale for this decision to be dealt with in appropriate ways, to oppose it and to remove the damage caused by it," the statement said.

On Tuesday, the Israeli occupying forces seized 267 dunums of land in the villages of Barberlah and Tiaser in Tubas and northern Jordan, owned by the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem, within the policy of "hand-laying" taken by the occupation as an excuse to swallow more land To expand its settlement in contravention of international laws.

The confiscated land is located at the 159th basin in the area, and near a former camp of the occupying forces, which has recently been rebuilt and provided with rooms and services inside and around it.
