Jerusalem .. Doctors decide to remove the eye of a Palestinian child who was shot by an Israeli bullet

The doctors decided to remove the eye of the 9-year-old Palestinian boy, Malik Issa, who was shot by the Israeli occupation police in the "Al-Isawiya" town, northeast of occupied Jerusalem.

Wael, the father of the child Malik, said in a statement published by the human rights information center "Wadi Hilwa", through his Facebook page, "We have no other choice, we must remove the left eye of Malik, because it is inflamed, and not eradicating it may lead to other complications, which may affect Negatively fast on the right eye and brain. "

He added: "We asked the doctors not to eradicate the left eye of the owner, although it was confirmed that he lost his sight in it, for the sake of his psyche and the psyche of the family, but it seems that we are forced."

He noted that the decision "is very difficult, but there is no other option."

According to the father of the injured child, "Malik did not sleep last night, and he kept crying all night."

He noted that "the Israeli soldier who hit Malik destroyed our family, our psyche and the child´s psyche."

He said, "Malik´s sisters, who were accompanying him when he was injured, are currently suffering from severe psychological conditions, and they need treatment."

And last Saturday, an Israeli policeman shot a rubber-coated metal bullet at the child while he was returning from his school, and hit him with his eyes, without any justification for the shooting.

"Al-Issawiya" witnesses arrests almost daily, interspersed with breaking into the village and searching its homes, on the pretext of clashes with police in the town.

Israeli abuses range from demolishing homes, and issuing violations to shops and cars, through the arrest of young men, to the death of others.
