The pressure and advocacy department in the "Union of Agricultural Work Committees", and through its fishermen committees, monitored 19 violations committed by the Israeli occupation forces against Gaza fishermen during last February.
And the department stated in a statement that these violations were pursuit, shooting, water pumping and artificial waves towards the boats of the fishermen at sea.
She indicated that these violations resulted in the arrest of 3 fishermen: Ramadan Ali Salah, Ali Wael Salah and Majid Mahmoud Mekdad, and 3 fishermen were slightly injured as a result of the shootings and pumping water towards them.
It stated that the occupation forces partially confiscated a boat and destroyed two others, and destroyed 7 fishing boats.
On the other hand, the Israeli occupation forces manipulated the fishing areas, which reduced, expanded and closed 8 times, including a comprehensive closure that continued for 3 consecutive days.
The Department of Pressure and Advocacy said that last month, there was an increase in the number of Israeli violations against fishermen compared to previous months, due to the escalation of events in various sectors of the sector, especially the continuous waves of escalation against the Palestinian people, which affect the fishermen permanently and directly.
