Israeli forces arrest two foreign activists and activists south of Hebron

The Israeli occupation forces arrested 15 Palestinian activists and foreign solidarity on Friday during a solidarity demonstration in southern Hebron.

According to local sources, an Israeli military force raided the rehabilitation of a dirt road serving a number of small Palestinian communities south of Hebron. 

Some 150 foreign solidarity activists and a number of local residents participating in the event.

The Israeli army announced that the area was "closed military" and arrested about 15 participants, including foreign solidarity activists and a Palestinian journalist. 

For several years, Palestinian communities south of Hebron have been subjected to mounting Israeli campaigns in an attempt to expel and displace the Palestinians and seize these strategic positions in favor of Jewish settlement in the area, especially as they are surrounded by Jewish settlements from all sides . 
 
The occupation authorities are pursuing the residents there by destroying their tents and animal barracks, as well as confiscating all contributions from Palestinians or from the European Union. 
 
It also closes all roads leading to the village in an attempt to prevent cars from reaching them, thereby restricting them more to receive aid or to easily deliver their belongings to their places of residence.
