At dawn on Thursday, Israeli occupying forces launched a campaign of arrests in the occupied West Bank, which affected 20 Palestinians, after they raided and searched their homes before transferring them to unknown destinations.

A statement by the Israeli army said this morning that its forces had arrested 20 Palestinians from the West Bank, who they described as "wanted", for allegedly engaging in activities related to the popular resistance against Israeli targets.

The occupying army announced the seizure of a local-made weapon in the town of Beit Fajar, south of the City of Bethlehem (south of occupied Jerusalem), during raids and searches in the town.

According to the army statement, the occupation forces seized tens of thousands of meals during an activity in the city of Hebron (southern Jerusalem), arguing that they were earmarked for activities against the occupation.

The occupying forces arrested four youths, including three siblings, from the village of al-Khader, south of Bethlehem (south of Jerusalem), three from Tubas (north of Jerusalem) and one from Nablus (north).

Israeli arrests affected four Palestinians from the town of Aliar, north of the northern city of Tulkarem, after raiding their homes, searching them and damaging their contents, as well as a young man from the town of Halhoul, north of Hebron (south).

The occupying forces re-arrested the captured prisoner, Mohammad Ismail Musa, after they raided his family home in the town of al-Khader (south of Bethlehem), and transported him to an unknown location.

According to our correspondent, the detainees are from al-A´ar, Mohammed Ahed Abu Saada, Ihab Hosni, Salah Riad, and Moataz Zarour. They were released from Palestinian Authority security prisons several months ago.

He noted that the security of the authority had arrested the four youths for almost nine months on charges of planting improvised explosive devices (IEDs) targeting occupation patrols near Tulkarm.

Last night, the Israeli occupation forces arrested Assad Abu Tic and Mu´az Daraghmeh at the military checkpoint "Zaatara " and Baha al-Ghoul at the military checkpoint in the southern city of Nablus.
