Today, Wednesday, the Israeli Ministry of Health revealed the death of 53 people due to the Corona virus, without being reported.
The ministry stated in a statement in Arabic that these people died between July and August, and they were revealed within the "Magen" program for mothers and fathers to check for the Coronavirus.
The ministry did not clarify whether the deaths included Palestinians from the Green Line.
Polly Edelstein, the Israeli Minister of Health, commented that these data are very dangerous, noting that he had instructed to examine the matter very seriously.
He added, "I will operate transparently, and I will inform the public of the examination results and conclusions."
The Director General of the Israeli Ministry of Health, Professor Hezi Levy, requested unification of the Corona death reports that arrive from all institutions, including medical centers for the care of the elderly in one place, and then enter them into the computerized system of the Ministry of Health.
According to the ministry, medical centers for the elderly, even private ones, submitted their reports individually, and from there they were entered into the computerized system.
