The Ministerial Committee on Legislation in Israel is discussing a bill to protect soldiers from criminal prosecution for acts committed during operational operations against Palestinians or others.
According to the 7th Hebrew Channel, the deputy minister of the Israeli army, Elie Benpaint, and Shuli Maalim, both from the Jewish Home party, initiated the bill against the backdrop of what happened with the soldier of Azria, who executed the martyr Abdel Fattah Sharif in Hebron, although he was wounded and paralyzed.
