Israel bombs places of worship in Gaza and completely destroys 54 mosques

The government media office in Gaza announced that “the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip completely destroyed 54 mosques, and caused varying damage to 110 other mosques.”

This came in a press conference by the head of the office, Salama Marouf, on Friday evening, in which he said, “164 mosques were damaged by the aggression against Gaza, of which 54 were completely demolished, and 110 were partially demolished, in addition to targeting 3 churches of our Christian people in the Gaza Strip.”

Marouf added, "The occupation claims that it has bombed 12,000 targets in Gaza since the start of the aggression, but all of its targets are civilian, distributed among safe houses, public facilities, and hospitals."

He explained that the Israeli army "dropped 25,000 tons of explosives on Gaza, twice the capacity of the Hiroshima nuclear bomb, which was estimated at 12,000 tons."

He continued: "The occupation committed 965 massacres, and the toll of the aggression reached 9,061 martyrs, including 3,670 children, 2,326 women, and nearly 23,000 wounded, with 2,060 reports of missing persons, within 27 days."

According to Salama, "Medical teams documented the martyrdom of 135 medical personnel, 40 journalists, 18 civil defense officers, and 49 imams, preachers, and preachers."

He added: "More than 212,000 housing units were damaged and 35,000 housing units were completely demolished, in addition to the destruction of 85 government headquarters and dozens of public facilities, including the Orthodox Cultural Center."

“The occupation also targeted 214 schools that suffered varying degrees of damage, including 45 schools that were out of service,” according to Salama.
