Iraq responded to Israeli security Minister Avigdor Lieberman´s remarks about the possibility of bombing Iraq if necessary.
A source at the Iraqi Ministry of Defense said on Monday that the ministry has followed the statements of Avigdor Lieberman on the possibility of hitting Iraq, stressing that the country´s sovereignty is red.
"We are waiting for the official position of the commander-in-chief of the armed forces, Haidar al-Abadi, regarding the Israeli position to respond to Lieberman openly and openly," the source said at the rank of general during his speech to Russia´s channel today.
"Iraq is not a village that everyone wants to intervene in, but a country with sovereignty and a strong army, and what Lieberman has talked about will not happen, our sovereignty is a red line," he said.
Israeli security Minister Avigdor Lieberman said earlier that Israel was ready to deal with any Iranian threat anywhere and hinted at attacking military pieces, possibly Iranian, in Iraq.
