Injuries during the occupation’s attack on the funeral of the martyr Dhamidi in Huwwara

A citizen was injured by live bullets, and seven others were injured by rubber-coated metal bullets, during violent confrontations that broke out after the Israeli occupation forces attacked, today, Friday, the funeral of the martyr Labib Dhamidi (19 years old) in the town of Huwwara, south of Nablus.


The occupation soldiers attacked the funeral participants, as they were heading to the cemetery, after performing prayers for the martyr in the center of the town, and fired live bullets, rubber-coated metal bullets, stun grenades and toxic tear gas at them. They were confronted by the mourners, who carried the martyr’s body on their shoulders in a solemn scene. Amid chanting of takbirs and angry chants.


Violent confrontations erupted as a result, leading to 8 citizens being injured, one of whom was shot in the foot with live bullets, in addition to dozens of people suffering from suffocation.


The occupation forces also attacked the press crews, firing sound bombs and poisonous gas at them, to prevent them from covering the event.


Thousands of citizens carried the body of the martyr Dhamidi to his final resting place, starting from Rafidia Hospital in the city of Nablus, all the way to the martyr’s birthplace in Hawara. The mourners prayed over his pure body, before he was buried.


The young man, Dhamidi, was killed by a bullet in the heart fired by a settler at him last night, in Huwwara, while citizens were responding to an attack launched by dozens of colonists on their homes and property, with the protection of occupation soldiers.
