An explosion occurred on Monday when a vehicle belonging to Operation Barkhane passed in Gosi, central Mali, causing injuries to the French soldiers working in the anti-jihadist force in the Sahel, local officials announced.
A Malian military official and a local lawmaker, who declined to be identified, said three French soldiers were wounded and were flown by helicopter to the Barkhane base in Gao.
There was no official confirmation from the French General Staff.
Sources familiar with the circumstances of the attack said that it was carried out with a car bomb.
