"google plus ", The social networking site of Google , was affected by an informational loophole that revealed personal data for half a million accounts, the Internet giant announced the controversy related to the use of user Information.

In March, during an internal security audit of Google plus, in which people with an email account  "g-mail" were automatically included, a "mountain view " (california) loophole detected a gap that was closed by  "instantly ".

External parties were able to access the owners ´ information of 500,000 accounts related to name, email, profession, sex and age, as confirmed by the group "google " in a publication on a blog.

She added that no data were accessed by users such as messages or information on the account of "google " or phone numbers indicating that he was unable to identify the users who were affected by this gap and their location.

The information gap, which had been found since 2015 until the beginning of March March 2018, could have been exploited by 438.

The company asserts that the application developers were unaware of the gap and therefore did not use the data that was exposed, and said  "we did not find evidence showing that the data was used in an inappropriate way."

Google did not specify whether the security vulnerability was caused by an informational hacking process and did not give reasons for several months to advertise this Information.

"every time a User´s data is affected, we do more than what the law requires and we apply several criteria to determine if we have to report it," A spokesman for Google Plus told Agence France Presse.

The group asserts that the reasons for the Company´s silence are the nature of the information disclosed and the absence of improper use of the data, and the fact that it is impossible to identify the users who must be accurately informed.
