Indonesia exempts Palestinian dates and olive oil from taxes

Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Indonesia Zuhair al-Shen, together with Indonesian Minister of Commerce Ingretatstu Luqueta, signed the agreement on tax exemption for Palestinian dates and olive oil at the Indonesian Ministry of Commerce headquarters.

The Indonesian Minister of Commerce, while meeting Luqueta on the sidelines of the signing of the agreement, asked the list of other Palestinian products that the Palestinian side intended to exemption, confirming President Jaku Widodo´s support for the struggle of the Palestinian people and the establishment of their independent State and the capital of Jerusalem East.

He thanked the Indonesian President, the Minister and the Government for their support to the Palestinian cause, and spoke about the possibility of a meeting between national Economy Minister Abeer Odeh and the Indonesian trade minister to sign the more comprehensive agreement for all Palestinian products that the Palestinian side exemption to tax.

Ambassador Chen stressed the importance of this step and the next steps in supporting the Palestinian economy under the suffocating Israeli siege.
