As for the causes of the tsunami, the authorities said it happened because of an unusual extension linked to the new moon, accompanied by a deep sea slide caused by the explosion of the volcano Anak Krakatoa, the small island in the host of Sunda.
Nugroho said that "the synergy between the workers caused the tsunami to hit the coasts," adding that the authorities are conducting an investigation into what happened accurately.
