India on Thursday again rejected US President Donald Trump´s offer to mediate the Kashmir issue, stating that the issue should be settled "bilaterally" with Pakistan.
"There is no role for any third party in this matter," Indian External Affairs Ministry spokesman Ravesh Kumar said in a statement.
"We learned about President Trump´s remarks. Our position on Kashmir is clear and consistent. Let me reiterate that there is no role for any third party in this matter," he added while talking to a media figure in New Delhi.
Trump had stated in Davos that the United States was monitoring developments between India and Pakistan regarding Kashmir "very closely", again offering "help" in resolving the issue.
