In protest against Ben Gvir's decision... the prisoners start a hunger strike in mid-September

Today, Friday, the Israeli Prison Service stated that the Palestinian prisoners intend to start a hunger strike, on the 14th of September, in protest against the decision of the Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben Gvir.

Ben Gvir instructed the Prisons Authority to restrict visits by families of prisoners from the West Bank in the occupation prisons, so that these visits take place once every two months instead of once a month.

These instructions will start to be applied the day after tomorrow, Sunday, and these instructions include about 1,600 prisoners, out of about 5,000 prisoners who can receive visits from their families.
