IBOC issues its annual social networking report for 2018

The media company IPOKE has released its annual report on social networking sites for 2018.

 

The report highlights the comprehensive nature of historic Palestine, where users of social networking in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank and the occupied home and the proportion of their use on each platform, and the number of Internet users in Palestine, which amounted to more than 4.5 million Palestinians.

 

The report pointed out that Facebook is the most widely used in Palestine, with 88% of the users of social networking sites, followed by Wattsab by 84%, followed by 57%.

 

The report documented 40 cases of arrests in Israeli prisons during the year 2018 against the background of opinion and expression through social networking sites.

 

This year´s report dealt with a new section that included a study of the most important events in Palestine such as social security and major return marches, as well as a study on electronic extortion and the quality of electronic content.

 

The report documented the most prominent issues and concerns that were interacted during the year, as well as general statistics, websites and smartphone applications.

 

The report went into a detailed review of the most prominent pages and accounts on the most popular social networking sites among Palestinians (Facebook, Twitter, Wattsp, Instagram, YouTube, Sound Cloud, Telgram, LinkedIn, TickTalk) One of the top 10 accounts or pages.
