At dawn on Friday, hundreds of settlers stormed the village of Awarta (8 km south-east of Nablus) by protecting a large force from the occupation army, alleging the establishment of prayer prayers in religious and historical shrines in the village.
Citizens of the village said that the Israeli occupation forces had sealed off the entrances to the village, imposed a siege on them and spread their roads in preparation for the entry of settlers who had reached the shrines on foot and had been doing an act of provocation in the streets of the village.
Scores of youths responded to the occupying forces who stormed the village, threw stones at them while soldiers fired heavy bullets and tear gas canisters to disperse them, causing a number of gas asphyxiation among the citizens.
There are 12 historical and religious shrines in the village, and the inhabitants assert their Islamia, while Jewish settlers claim a number of them, including the shrine of the "al-´zer", which the settlers have been visiting to protect the occupation forces, establish their rituals and try to humanize it.
