Human Rights Center: 94 civilians were injured on Friday in the eastern Gaza Strip

The Palestinian Center for Human Rights (PCHR) reported that 94 Palestinian civilians were injured on Friday in the Israeli forces´ repression of participants on the 72nd Friday of the marches of return and breaking the siege in the eastern Gaza Strip.

The Center pointed out in a statement, that 25 children and one woman, in addition to a paramedic and two journalists were among those injured on Friday, the suppression of peaceful return marches.

He said that the Israeli occupation forces continued to use excessive force against demonstrators by using live bullets and targeting the upper body.

He pointed out that he had been recorded on Friday, 46 gunshot wounds and shrapnel, one of whom described his condition as critical.

The Higher National Committee for the March and Break the Siege, supported the demonstrations under the name "Friday of loyalty to the martyrs" in conjunction with the anniversary of the end of the Israeli aggression on Gaza in 2014.

On Friday afternoon, citizens flocked to the five return camps and thousands of people took part in the events.

PCHR documented the death toll in the march since its inception on March 30, 2018 to 208 martyrs, including 44 children, two women, 9 persons with disabilities, 4 paramedics and 2 journalists.

The number of casualties rose to 13,728, including 2,886 children, 420 women, 231 paramedics and 212 journalists, he said. He pointed out that some of the wounded were injured several times.

The Center pointed out that the northern governorate in the Gaza Strip was hit on Friday by 30 citizens; including 12 children and a cameraman in the Red Crescent.

Abizaid and: "Among the injured 21 people were shot and shrapnel, and 4 with gas bombs, and 5 rubber bullets."

In the Gaza Strip, 7 civilians, including 4 children, a woman and a photojournalist, were wounded: 3 persons with live bullets, 3 with rubber bullets and 1 with a direct tear gas canister.

The Central Governorate witnessed the injury of 10 citizens, including two children. 7 live ammunition and shrapnel wounds, 2 rubber tear gas canisters.

The Israeli occupation forces arrested 3 young men on the pretext of crossing the separation fence in the central governorate in the southern Gaza Strip.

In Khan Yunis, 20 citizens were wounded; 10 of them children and seriously injured. Among the wounded were five bullets and shrapnel, 10 with rubber-coated metal bullets, and five with direct-fire grenades.

In Rafah, 27 civilians, including 7 children and a Red Crescent medic, were wounded: 10 people were wounded with live ammunition and shrapnel, 3 with tear gas canisters and 14 with rubber bullets.

Since March 30, 2018, Palestinians have been participating in peaceful marches near the fence separating the Gaza Strip and the Palestinian territories occupied in 1948, dubbed the "March of Return and Breaking the Siege."

The marches demand the return of Palestinian refugees to their towns and villages from which they were forcibly abandoned by the occupation gangs in 1948 and to break the siege on Gaza, which has been going on for nearly 13 years.

 The Israeli army is violently suppressing these peaceful marches, firing poison gas and tear gas at the demonstrators, resulting in the martyrdom of 329 citizens; .
