A wounded young man, Khaled Salah Rouajbeh, 23, from Rujib village, who was wounded Wednesday morning by a settler shot at the junction of the Beta town south of Nablus, said that he was "inside their car to maintain" electricity when he was shot.
Rumajbeh said he first heard the sound of bullets, then he was surprised by blood bleeding from his waist before he fell unconscious to find himself later in hospital.
Rumajbeh, who was transferred to the Rafidia State Hospital in Nablus, said he narrowly escaped, as the bullet that penetrated his right flank came out of the opposite side, and without God´s kindness he would be among the martyrs.
Relatives of Ruajbah, who were with him at the hospital, said they praise God for the safety of their son, but they are also sad that another young man was shot by a vengeful settler in the same incident.
A settler driving a car shot in the same incident against Palestinian driver Mohamed Abdel Moneim Abdel Fattah (23 years) from Khirbet Qais in Salfit, seriously wounded and transferred to the Israeli hospital "Belenson", to be later reported to have died of his wounds , while the young man Ruajbeh was also shot. The settler claimed that the Palestinian driver had tried to stab him, but identical Palestinian sources denied any attempted stabbing, noting that the settler had fired at the driver Abdel Fattah after the race and content between them, whichever is entering the junction first.
