The General Assembly of the Israeli Knesset will hold a special ceremonial session this evening, Wednesday, during which the new eleventh president, “Isaac Herzog,” will take the oath of allegiance, in preparation for assuming his duties to succeed the tenth president, Reuven Rivlin, who ends his duties after seven years.
After this session and in the evening hours, “Rivlin will hold a reception in honor of his successor, Herzog, at the Presidential Residence, and then the handover ceremony will take place.”
