The Director of Prisoners´ Center for Studies Raafat Hamdouna said that the Israeli Prison Service Administration, under cover of the Israeli government, is practicing many violations outside international conventions and international humanitarian law.
Hamdouna said in a press statement on Monday: "Eid is a massacre of the hearts of prisoners and prisoners in Israeli prisons, as there are hundreds of prisoners and prisoners of hearts cut off their children on the day of Eid, where the feeling of anxiety and deprivation and longing to meet children for this day of privacy.
He added: "The prison administration did not understand this privacy, ignoring them even to the subject of visits and meeting with the people, and the introduction of sweets, clothes and the meeting of prisoners mothers with their children."
"Some 5700 Palestinian prisoners and prisoners will be deprived of Eid in Israeli jails and detention centers, including 250 children, who will be denied the sight of their fathers and mothers, and do not deal with the rights and welfare of children in such important events , "he said.
He warned of the seriousness of the "Israeli" harsh measures on the Palestinian prisoners, Eid, pointing out that the Eid comes on prisoners and the administration of the prison service doubled the violations against them, and treated them harshly contrary to human rights and international conventions.
Hamdouna called on international and human rights institutions to pressure the Israeli occupation to abide by the articles and clauses of the Geneva Conventions, which affirm the rights of prisoners to perform acts of worship and holidays.
He called on the media to focus on these violations and expose them and submit complaints by Arab and international human rights organizations against the perpetrators of the prison administration officers and the Israeli security authorities in violation of international conventions on prisoners´ rights.
