JERUSALEM _ Palestine News Network
The so-called organization and Construction Committee of the Jerusalem Occupation Municipality approved a plan to build 640 settlement units behind the Green Line in Jerusalem, the Hebrew newspaper Ha´aretz reported Wednesday evening.
According to the site, the new units will be built in the Ramat Shlomo neighbourhood and part of it will be built on privately owned land for Palestinians in the Beit Hanina area. The plan will be implemented on open land between Ramat Shlomo and the town of Beit Hanina.
The plan was postponed in 2010 due to disagreements between the Israeli government and the former US administration, the website said.
