Greenblatt: Not recognizing Israel and its legitimacy as anti-Semitic

The US envoy to the Middle East peace process, Jason Greenblatt, said on Wednesday that not recognizing Israel, its legitimacy and the Jewish people and their right to exist was anti-Semitic.

He stressed in an interview with the Israeli daily The Jerusalem Post that the administration of US President Donald Trump would continue to fight anti-Semitism unabated, pointing out its full commitment to fighting anti-Semitism in all its forms.

He pointed out that recently appointed a special envoy to the US administration to monitor anti-Semitism and work to combat it. "We must never accept accounts that claim that Israel has no right to exist," he said. Pointing out that America will continue to support at all times, regardless of the existence of Israel and its right to defend itself.
