Netanyahu was criticized by his opponents, including Gideon Saar, his former Likud ally, who considered the unconditional agreement imposed on Hamas as a disgrace, while extremist Knesset member Itamar Ben Gvir considered it a "spit in the face of the residents of the Gaza envelope."

Hamas spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri said that any declaration by the occupation of a unilateral ceasefire represents a declaration of its defeat.

Abu Zuhri indicated in a press statement to him that Hamas is ready for all options, indicating that his movement is concerned with the success of all initiatives to reach the calm.
