Undersecretary of the Ministry of Public Works and Housing in the Gaza Strip, Naji Sarhan, said today, Saturday, that it is possible to rebuild all the destroyed houses within a year if the reconstruction funds that were monitored from various parties arrive.
In press statements to a number of journalists, Sarhan indicated that the process of inventorying the damages is still underway, pointing out that a large operation has been launched to remove dilapidated houses and buildings because of the danger they pose to citizens and nearby buildings.
He mentioned that there are a number of buildings that need an engineering study, including deciding whether to remove them or restore them.
And he indicated that the ministry is working with great accuracy in anticipation of the presence of unexploded missiles under the rubble of houses.
