The child martyr Imad Khalil Shahin, 17, joined the convoy of the bodies of martyrs detained by the Israeli occupation authorities since the start of the return marches in the Gaza Strip on March 30, March, which reached 11 bodies, refusing to extradite them despite human rights interventions and appeals.

Last Saturday evening, the Israeli army opened fire on the child Shaheen when he approached the separation fence east of the Palestinian refugee camp "Maghazi" (Central Gaza Strip) and seriously wounded him and then transported him by helicopter to the hospital  "Sorka " in the City of Be´er Sheva (south of the occupied territories 1948), but he died the next morning and was declared dead without his body being handed over to his relatives until Tuesday.

"We have been informed by the Al-Mezan Center for Human Rights that Imad has been martyred and we have opened a house of condolence for him to receive his mourners," said Bassel Shahin, 38, the elder brother of Imad, in a press statement.

He added:  "We have legally assigned the center of the balance to demand the recovery of the body, but we have not received an official response on the matter."

"Today we have performed the absent prayer on the soul of my brother Imad and we will continue to communicate in all directions in order to recover his body because this is our right."

He confirmed that his brother Shaheed came out to demand his right to return to his ancestral land in the "Wadi Haneen", which is located southeast of the occupied city of Jaffa.

He explained that the demands of the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip were to live in dignity, like the rest of the peoples of the land and to lift the blockade of this what was demanded by my brother Emad.

He considered that the recovery of his brother´s body was guaranteed to him by all international laws and norms in order to take his final look at him and bury him according to Islamic law and have a well-known tomb.

He explained that they will continue to receive the mourners for three days starting from today, after which the funeral home will be closed until the body of his brother is recovered and buried at any time.

The Al-Mezan Center for Human Rights on Monday made an urgent request to the occupying Power to recover Shaheen´s body without receiving a response from the occupation.

"The Al-Mezan Center for Human Rights on Monday made an urgent request to the judicial Chancellor of the Israeli occupation government and to the Israel Military Prosecutor to recover the body of the 17-year-ago child Imad Shahin, who spent the evening of Al-Maghazi camp in the middle of the Gaza Strip, To be handed over to his relatives for burial according to Islamic sharia.

"The center, which was officially assigned by the Martyr´s family, did not receive any response to this request from the Israeli authorities," she said.

She revealed that on Sunday, the body of Shaheen was transferred from Soroka Hospital in Beersheba to the Institute of Forensic Medicine in the area of "Abu Kabir " inside the occupied territories in 1948.

Shaheen is one of the 11 Palestinians detained by the GTHMAMINHM occupation forces since the start of the return marches on March 30, refusing to hand them over to their relatives for burial.

According to the monitoring of the Palestine News Network, the occupying forces are holding 11 bodies of martyrs who have died since the start of the return marches on March 30 March and refuse to release them despite human rights demands.

The martyrs whose bodies continue to be detained by the Israeli occupation authorities, as well as Shahin, are: Mohammed Hareb al-Rabai´a (21 years), Mussab Zuhair al-Salloul (22 years), Attia Mohamed el-Amawi (23 years), Yusuf Ahmed el-Amawi (25), Yusuf Jacir Abu ´ Ali (16), Abdel Dayem Abu Mus Khaled Abdel Aal (18), Hani Mohammed al-Majdalawi (23), Attaf Abu Saleh (32 years).

Some 260 martyrs are being held by the occupying authorities in private cemeteries called "number Graves" and more than 24 martyrs in their refrigerators, nearly half of them from the Gaza Strip.
