The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced today, Tuesday, that one death, and 450 new cases of Corona virus, have been recorded in the last 24 hours.
In its daily report, the Ministry indicated that the total number of cases requiring medical care within the hospital amounted to 141 cases, of which 75 were in serious and critical cases.
She indicated that 106 new recoveries from the virus were recorded.
It stated that the central laboratory examined 2659 new samples during the same period.
Thus, the total number of people infected with the virus in the Gaza Strip since last March reached 59,780 cases, including 3443 active cases, 55,748 recovering cases, and 589 deaths.
She indicated that the total doses that reached the Gaza Strip reached 72,000 doses, while the total number of people who received the vaccine reached 12,886.
Ashraf al-Qudra, spokesman for the ministry in Gaza, said that in light of the increase in infection cases, measures are being reviewed that are commensurate with the epidemiological situation.
He pointed out that the sector is going through a new phase of the second wave of the epidemic, which is a dangerous phase in which infections are increasing rapidly, indicating that a set of strict measures are being studied to deal with the new reality.
He pointed out that so far, we have not recorded any cases of mutated mutations in Gaza, but the Gaza Strip is not immune from that. like he said.
"This wave appears to be in an accelerating intensity, and this is what we see from the daily increase in figures," he added.
For his part, Salama Maarouf, head of the government media office in Gaza, said that the solution, in light of the high number of HIV infections, has become clear to everyone, and that is to follow the procedures that were used in the past to control the curve of infections inside the Strip.
Maarouf stated in an interview with the local Voice of Jerusalem radio in Gaza that there is an intention by the competent authorities in Gaza to return to the previous measures to limit the deterioration of the epidemic situation, indicating that such an option will have effects on society.
"We seek to implement measures that ensure the required medical effect, and in a manner that does not harm our people in all respects," he said.
He pointed out that a week ago, the government began strengthening control over the various sectors to ensure that safety and preventive measures were followed.
