According to Palestinian data, the Israeli occupation navy hit and arrested dozens of Palestinian fishermen during 2019.
The coordinator of the Palestinian fishermen´s committees, Zakaria Bakr, said on Saturday that in the past year, 21 fishermen have been recorded injured by israeli forces in the Gaza Strip sea.
Bakr said the Israeli occupation forces arrested 35 fishermen during their fishing career at sea.
He noted that 15 fishing boats had been confiscated, 12 were completely destroyed and 11 partially destroyed after being shelled by Israeli shelling on the seashore.
He explained that the navy had destroyed nets for fishermen and fishing equipment dozens of times. He noted that the fishermen´s marina had been bombed 24 times and the fishing grounds had been manipulated 22 times.
