Homeowners destroyed by the Israeli occupation during the aggression on the Gaza Strip in the summer of 2014 continued their sit-in outside the headquarters of the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) in Gaza City.
The owners of these houses are being detained for the tenth consecutive day in front of the UNRWA headquarters, demanding that they pay a rental allowance and work to reconstruct their homes.
Hundreds of Palestinian families in the Gaza Strip are ignoring those responsible for the reconstruction of Gaza to resolve their case, as do other citizens whose homes have been rebuilt. They live in rent-free homes at the expense of UNRWA before it stops for months because of the financial crisis and donors stop transferring funds for the reconstruction file.
