The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced this morning, Wednesday, that 83 new cases of Coronavirus have been recorded during the past 24 hours.
In its daily report, the Ministry stated that 79 of the injuries are from within the Gaza Strip, and 4 of the returnees are in quarantine centers.
It indicated that 1,281 samples were withdrawn during the same period.
The total cumulative number of injured persons since last March has reached 483, of whom 402 are active cases, including 365 from the inside, 37 from returnees, 76 recovered, and 5 deaths, including 4 from inside Gaza, and the fifth case from returnees from abroad.
It indicated that the competent medical teams are still conducting epidemiological investigations and following up on a map of contacts in different regions.
She said: "We are still in the stage of containing the epidemic and breaking the cycles of its outbreak, and this stage is sensitive and requires preventing movement except for the most urgent necessity and in accordance with strict preventive measures."
