The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced, this morning, Monday, that 182 new cases of Coronavirus have been recorded during the past 24 hours.
In its daily report, the Ministry stated that the central laboratory conducted tests for 1857 samples that were withdrawn during the same period.
The total number of injuries since last March reached 1151, including 1054 active cases (1,024 from the inside and 30 from the returnees), 89 recovered, and 8 deaths (7 from inside Gaza and a seventh case from returnees).
She indicated that the emergency operations room closely monitors the epidemiological situation and takes measures that suit each region, and that investigations are continuing.
She stressed that breaking the episodes of outbreaks is a moral, national and religious responsibility, and all efforts must be concerted to contain the epidemic, stressing the need to adhere to preventive controls without the slightest laxity and to maintain wearing masks, hand washing and physical distancing when leaving the house.
She called on everyone to fully cooperate in this sensitive stage and to stay away from any manifestations of overcrowding, calling on public and private sector institutions and service providers to implement preventive controls with their employees and users.
She also stressed the need to tighten preventive measures for the elderly, people with chronic diseases, children and those with weak immunity, and not leave homes except for necessity.
