French actress Anna Karina, known for her roles in the films of director Jean-Luc Godard, died at the age of 79.
The news agency "Agence France Presse" quoted the representative of the actress today, Sunday, that Karina died yesterday in Paris after suffering from cancer.
The icon of the ´60s films has starred in seven of Godard´s films, including "Women are Women" and "Peru Le Fu" (Crazy Peru). Carina has also worked with directors Jacques Revitt and Rainer Werner Fassbender.
