The social networking site "Facebook " is in a new dilemma, after recent data revealed the withdrawal of nearly half of its young users in America, aged between 18 and 29 years.
According to the "The Daily Beast", an opinion poll, carried out by the Pew Research Center, found that a large number of young Americans had withdrawn from Facebook during the past year or modified their privacy statements.
The study showed that 44 percent of young Americans (between 18 and 29 years) said they had deleted the Facebook app from their phones last year, adding that this was a big inconvenience for the US website.
The poll was completed a few days after the Facebook scandal about the data violation associated with Cambridge Analitica.
The poll asked users if they had modified their privacy statements over the past 12 months, and the answer to "Yes " was overwhelming over 54 percent of Facebook youth, while only 12 percent of users, aged 65, said they had deleted the app.
The concerns of many social media users about privacy have recently escalated, posing more than one question about exploiting their personal data for commercial and profitable purposes.
