Israeli President Reuven Rivlin announced Monday that the new government would be extended for 14 days.
This came at the request of Benjamin Netanyahu in charge of forming a new government, according to the Office of Rivlin.
Netanyahu has confirmed that he will submit a request to extend the period because of Jewish holidays, which preceded the progress of negotiations to form a coalition government.
