The seminar was opened by Suhail Khalili, head of the settlement unit at the ARIJ Institute, who gave an introductory explanation on the changing circumstances at the regional and international levels, and the impact of this on the future of the two-state solution and the changing and influencing conditions on Palestinian rights and the Palestinian people´s efforts towards independence.

The speakers referred to the Israeli measures in the Palestinian territories and their compatibility with Trump´s plan and the Israeli efforts to annex parts of the West Bank under its control.

In his intervention, Ishaq referred to what the occupation seeks to impose geographically on the West Bank lands, in a move aimed at fragmenting the Palestinian efforts to establish their independent state with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.

Minister Walid Assaf then spoke, who referred to the efforts of the Palestinian Authority to thwart the annexation plan by confronting the plans of the occupation and its settlers in confiscating lands, establishing outposts, and threatening and intimidating the Palestinians, especially in Bedouin communities and villages around settlements, in an attempt to push citizens to migrate their lands in order to facilitate control. on her.

In turn, Jabareen pointed out that international law remains the mainstay of defending Palestinian rights in international arenas, even in light of international reluctance and inability at this stage to implement the decisions of international bodies on the Palestinian issue, and Israel´s exploitation of its influence and the influence of its greater ally, the United States, in suppressing international rejection of everything that takes place. It includes the occupation of racist acts and legal violations against the Palestinians.

Jamal Talab talked about the role of settlements as a tool for the Israeli occupation in controlling the geography of the West Bank, and devoting geographical separation between Palestinian communities to prevent the establishment of a Palestinian state with a geographical connection apart from the Israeli presence, and also referred to the need to be freed from the dependence of conditional funding, and the return of the PLO to lead the project. Ghassan Douglas referred to the total settlement activities in the northern West Bank in coordination with the occupation army and settlers, linking the events in a manner consistent with the proposed annexation plan, pointing to the total of Israeli violations and settlement plans aimed at expanding settlement areas and facilitating the movement of settlers, as part of the plan to consecrate the bypass road network and develop Industrial areas.

Al-Tafakji referred to Israel´s organized methodology of targeting Palestinians within a gradual plan aimed at besieging them and pushing them out of the occupied city through steps that restricted the ability of Palestinian landowners to use their lands, as well as extracting laws that would limit their presence by placing them outside the building organizational plans, as well as using laws Such as the "Third Generation Law", which aims to push the young generation of Jerusalemites to leave the city, ending with the construction of the Apartheid Wall, which will redefine the geographical borders of the city by excluding many Palestinian communities and replacing them with settlement blocs in order to redraw demographics in favor of the occupation.

The speakers unanimously agreed on the need to reconsider the internal Palestinian situation, especially with regard to the division and the need to move from a state of reaction to a state of taking the lead in the face of what is happening in terms of changes, in addition to the importance of confronting the attack on the entire Palestinian spectrum, the people, leadership and institutions, especially in light of The financial crisis afflicting the occupied Palestinian territories, with the assertion that the two-state solution is still the proposed and agreed-upon solution at least at this stage at the domestic, regional and international levels.
