European Union Foreign Minister Josep Borrell said that the postponement of the Palestinian elections, the first in 15 years, is "very disappointing."
"We reiterate our call on Israel to facilitate the holding of these elections in all Palestinian territories, including in East Jerusalem," Borrell said. This statement came after Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas announced the postponement of the elections, until they were "guaranteed" to be held in East Jerusalem.
