An explosive device exploded Saturday evening in the vicinity of the Church of the Virgin and Abu Seifin in the village of Medina in the eastern city of Nasr City, east of Cairo.
A source in Cairo security department said that the explosion killed one officer and detonated explosives while examining the bag and try to dismantle the device.
The Egyptian security forces imposed a security cordon at the site of the explosion of the explosive device in the area of ​​Ezbet El Hagana in Nasr City east of Cairo.
Explosives and civil protection forces were deployed to comb the area of ​​any suspected explosive device in the vicinity of the explosion.
